I'm here to help you dream up and plan your perfect day! Then tag along beside you to capture it all in photographs!
Hey!! I'm Katie and I’m so glad you’re here!
Since I want to get to know the real you, I want you to get to know the real me too!
In a nutshell I love Jesus, my hubby, photography, school, & traveling!
In addition to running my photography business I'm a third year PhD student at the University of Southern California, so I currently spend time between the sunny Los Angeles area and Alabama with my husband, Will. (p.s. he's the cute grey haired boy in the photos below)
It was actually through my own wedding process that I realized the most important thing in my life was relationships. I realized then that I never wanted to forget any of the details of the people I loved. I want to remember the little things about them, the way they make me feel, and the memories we share no matter how much time passes. I still remember the first time I saw photos of Will & me that captured who we were as a couple. I just couldn’t stop looking at them. It was like I was right back there again. Those photos had captured the moments and emotions that we share all the time at home (like when he’s laughing at me because I spilled something...again), and locked them into a tangible photo that I get to look back on and hopefully show my grandkids one day. Once I experienced that, I realized that I wanted to be able to give that same gift to other couples. Hence my entrance into couple photography.
After getting married, Will & I moved from the gulf coast to the west coast to attend grad school at USC. ( & to answer the question that people always ask, yes it’s true) the weather really is sunny, 75, & perfect in LA pretty much year round. Not to mention you can see the beach, the mountains, the city, national parks (like Yosemite + Joshua Tree), and the sand dunes all in one day. Needless to say, the west coast quickly won me over!
As much as I love the west coast though, Europe will always have a special place in my heart! During undergrad I spent a year studying abroad in Germany (if I’m being honest I did a lot more traveling than studying haha but who can blame me.) Since then there's almost nothing I love more than traveling (especially when it involves making new friends) so take me on an adventure somewhere and I promise we'll be BFFs forever!
